Welcome to the Sound Design section
These soundtracks are extracted from different shows.
They were conceived in addition to a whole sound and visual atmosphere: the actor playing, the set, the text, the light, the costumes…
I worked also on the soundtracks volume, their evolution during the play, and sometimes different soundtracks were put together and mixed in live.
I also think of the spatialization with speakers, and sometimes microphones on the actors with specific effects.
I recommend to listen to this soundtracks with headphones or speakers with a correct bass reproduction.
/!\ Be careful, if you listen with headphones, the level of the soundtracks are changing
Enjoy your trip!
Written and directed by Vincent Macaigne
I worked with microphones on the set to create echo and reverb for an unreal atmosphere.
Most of the atmospheric soundtracks were scary to add drama to the scenes.
I mixed most of the volume in live.

There was electronic music during most of the play on one speaker behind the set.
Some thoughts of the characters were recorded and put on speakers close to the audience.
I also worked on the transitions of different scenes with music and sounds.

ET MA CENDRE SERA PLUS CHAUDE QUE LEUR VIE

I worked on a mental soundtrack that represents the emotions of the main character.
One of the main theme I used and transformed was La Nuit transfigurée from Arnold Schönberg.
I also worked on musical transitions and the idea of time moving forward.
CAMILLE, CAMILLE, CAMILLE

We had a workshop at the school of the National Theater in Strasbourg in partnership with the school of the Ernst Busch in Berlin. I worked on the idea of confinement, ritual and repetition for this soundtrack.
Written by Jean Genet, directed by Vincent Thépaut
This show was our final project in the school of the National Theater in Strasbourg.
I worked on an evolving soundtrack. One main part was the off-scene sounds from the city to bring progressive tension in the play.
I also worked on spatialization effects around the audience to include them or not into the story.
